8th Experimental Ceramic Workshop Androlykou 2024 organised by the master ceramist Demetriou Vassos.

“Fragmented Visages of Time” is a series of ceramic sculptures that delve into the timeless exploration of human identity and emotion through abstract representation.

​

 

It serves as a reminder that our individual histories, though fragmented and diverse, collectively form the intricate tapestry of who we are. . It suggests that every individual is a mosaic of experiences, emotions, and countless interactions, continuously reshaped by the passage of time.

​

 

Through this artistic exploration, the series underscores the beauty found in our imperfect, evolving identities and invites an appreciation of the timeless nature of human expression.

​

 

Each piece combines facial elements with geometric patterns and organic textures, using hues of teal, green, orange, and earthy tones, enhanced by a crackled glaze that suggests ancient relics.

​

 

The artworks reflect on the complexity of personal identity, presenting fragmented faces that symbolize the multiple, compartmentalized aspects of the self.
